All photographers need to be aware of industry norms, rules, and laws, but photographers who work in glamour and figure specialties should be especially careful. In this workshop, we will discuss model releases, copyrighting images, model payment, and contracts. Attention to these details can save photographers money and time, and help develop a professional image with peers and models. Attendees will leave this workshop with a packet of examples of both good and bad practices, and a solid foundation of knowledge.

Missy Loewe has spent 15 years learning about and practicing photography. She holds a law degree, with intellectual property and contracts for visual artists as a specialty. She is the official photographer for the Virtual Pose book series, and has photographed for and written numerous books, including “Doing the Right Thing: Models Rights and Responsibilities”.
